A Lean Systems Specialist who worked for 25 years at Toyota Automotive Industry Turkey, experienced in training group leadership and the Toyota Production System.

Born in Istanbul in 1970, Kemal Doğan is a graduate of Istanbul Maçka Anatolian Technical High School.
He started his working life in 1987 at Beldesan Motorlu Vasıtalar Sanayi AŞ and then continued at Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi Türkiye A.Ş. between 1993 and 2018. During his 25 years at Toyota;
After successfully completing Japanese language training in 1993–1994, he was assigned to Japan and for 7 months at the Toyota Motor Corporation Takaoka Plant received Toyota Production System (TPS) training, worked on process and workforce planning for the production lines of the Paint department of the Automobile Plant to be established in Turkey, and received various hands-on training on the production line in Occupational Safety, Cost, Kaizen (continuous improvement) and Problem Solving Techniques.
During the same period he took part in training activities at the Tokyo Yokohama center of The Association For Overseas Technical Scholarship (AOTS), the trainee center in Japan, got to know Japanese culture closely and had the opportunity to tour and observe many factories.
Between 1994 and 1995, after returning to Turkey, he took part in line setup work in the Paint Hospital and Final line processes of the Toyota Otomotiv Sanayi AŞ paint plant, workforce planning, interviews for new hires, planning and delivering training for new starters, running trial productions and the transition to serial production.
Between 1995 and 2006 he served as Production Team Leader in the Toyota Paint plant Paint Hospital, Final Line and ED inspection processes and in managing these lines worked actively on process and workforce planning, continuous improvement, statistical process control, new model project work, new equipment and material trials, and the five basic missions of production: Quality, Cost, Occupational Safety, Productivity and human resources development.
Between 2006 and 2010 he was Training Group Leader of the Paint plant, setting up the Dojo area and planning and delivering Basic Skills, Multi-skill, standard work and competency training for new starters, current employees and leader candidates.
During this process, at various intervals he attended Toyota Institute trainer programs at the Toyota UK Plant E-GPC Training Center (European Global Production Centre);
and successfully completed the certification process in these and similar trainings, having the opportunity to learn from Japanese master trainers who are experts in their field for many years.
He was a working group member on TPS topics such as the EPKM (Europe Production Kaizen Meeting) work held at the Toyota Turkey plant, Riyohin Jouken activities (visualization, tracking and countermeasures for quality problems), Jishuken (improvement in the operation area) and Henkaten Management (change point management).
During the same period, the Toyota Turkey Plant was assigned by Japan for the personnel training of Toyota's new investment projects, the Toyota Russia and Toyota Czech Republic plants; he took an active role in theoretical classroom training, Dojo hands-on skill training and OJT (On The Job Training) production line training for the personnel coming from Russia and the Czech Republic, contributing to a smooth transition to production at the newly established plants.
Between 2010 and 2013 he served as Act. Group Leader of the Paint plant Final and Sealer Line.
In 2014–2018 he worked in the Paint plant training group; after training, he took part in planning audits on the work lines to check standard work, and in planning and implementing root cause analysis and countermeasure activities for problems.
